The Immigration health surcharge is set to increase by 66% from £ 624 to £ 1,035, this will help to fund the big rise in public sector wages announced by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Immigration health surcharge for students will also increase from £470 to £776.
The increase in the immigration health surcharge will also be accompanied with an increase in the visa fees.
People moving to the UK from outside of the Common Travel Area for longer than six months are required to pay a health surcharge as part of their immigration application.

For applicants applying online Immigration Health Surcharge is paid as part of the application or when you book an appointment.
For postal applications the surcharge is paid online before you send your application. Applicants need to include the IHS reference number on the application form.
