UK Graduate Trainee visa consultant in India talks about the newly introduced ‘Graduate Trainee visa’

Update

The UK Graduate Trainee visa replaced the UK Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Graduate Trainee visa, from 11th April, 2022.

The UK Home Office made some significant changes to the UK immigration rules for entrepreneurs and professionals, seeking opportunities to start their business/career in the UK.
One very popular business immigration route in the UK was the ‘Representative of an Overseas Business visa’ (also called as UK Sole Representative visa) which unfortunately closed down on 11th April, 2022.

Instead, the Home Office launched a few new visas, amended some existing ones, and introduced a special category called the ‘Global Business Mobility’ with 5 visa routes under it. These pathways cater to business owners in the UK, overseas firms, and skilled professionals. The ‘Graduate Trainee visa’ is for overseas workers undertaking temporary work assignments in the UK.

The employee must be on a graduate training course leading to a senior management or specialist position and is required to do a work placement in the UK.
