The client’s mother is a healthcare worker in the UK, but her family continued to reside in India. When the applicant’s mother was eventually granted ILR status (Permanent Residence) after 5 years in the UK, our client, too, was granted a UK ILR for being a “dependent child of a settled person” in the UK.
