Britain is playing a big role in providing shelter and rescue for Ukranians fleeing from their homelands due to the humanitarian crisis going on. The UK is accepting visa applications from Ukraine and has decided to give it full-priority.
The UK Home Office is informing its applicants that the UKVI is prioritising Ukraine Visa Scheme applications, due to the conflicts in Ukraine and that might affect UK Family visa processing time.
Therefore, applicants applying for other routes will face some delays in the processing of UK Family and Marriage visas.
The UKVI has decided to temporarily amend the Marriage & Family service standard to 24 weeks, from the usual processing time – which was 12 weeks. So if you are applying for a UK Family or Marriage visa, you will get a decision within 24 weeks (120 working days) from the date of your biometrics appointment.
The Home Office writes,
Due to the increase in the processing time of family (spouse, marriage) visa applications the UKVI has informed applicants of the delays. If you have applied for any Family or Marriage visa, please note that delays are expected and you mustn’t lose hope!
