What are the UK Tier 4 Student Visa Requirements?

The students can apply for UK Tier 4 student visa if they intend to study full time degree course in the UK. Student’s visas are not issued for part-time courses. The eligibility is calculated on the points based system called a Tier 4 Student Visa.

The Applicants applying for the UK Student visa must have 40 points which can be obtained from these 4 eligibility criteria:-

Confirmation of Course:

The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a virtual document similar to a database record. Each CAS has a unique reference number and contains information about the course of study for which it has been issued and the student’s personal details.

The students must receive a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies from a university approved by the UK and Immigration. The students can obtain 30 points under these criteria.

Funds:

The students who are applying for the UK Tier 4 student visa must provide evidence of funds. The evidence must prove that the students can pay their course tuition fees and their monthly living costs. The students can obtain 10 points under these eligibility criteria.

Visa Application:

The students who are applying for the UK Tier 4 visa must complete the online application form. The students also have to get their Biometrics done at the Visa Application Centre as a part of the application

Immigration Health Surcharge:

The students who are applying for UK Tier 4 student visa for longer than six months are required to pay a health surcharge to get access to the UK’s National Health Service.

Does the provident fund qualifies as source of fund for UK student visa?

To apply for student visa, You can show you have enough money using:

– an official financial or government sponsorship or grant
– a student loan from a government, government sponsored loan company, or a regulated student loans scheme
– your own money
– your parent’s money (if they provide a letter confirming they agree to you using it this way)
your partner’s money if your partner is present in the UK or applying at the same time

What evidence is not accepted
The following are not accepted as evidence to show you have the required amount of money:

– overdrafts
– bitcoin savings
– stocks and shares
– pensions
– bank accounts that are not regulated by the financial regulatory body in the country you’re applying from
bank accounts that don’t use electronic record keeping

Is there any requirement of GIC for UK study visa?

UK study visa do not have GIC requirements.
Applicants are required to demonstrate they have sufficient funds to meet the tuition fees and living cost as prescribed in the immigration rules, both for themselves and their dependents.
