How to meet the English language Requirement for UK Tier 2 Visas – 2020

One of the key criteria when applying for Tier 2 General visa is for the applicant to meet the English language requirement.

If an applicant is applying for Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer) visa and will be in the UK for less 3 years then they are exempted from the English requirement, however for applicants applying for Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer) which will extend to beyond 3 years then they are required to meet the English requirement.

Applicants who are switching from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 (Sportsperson) visa must speak English to level A1 of the CEFR. They should be able to converse in English on day to day basis and also should be able to interact and express their emotions with others.

Applicants who are applying for a Tier 2 (Minister of Religion) visa will have to speak English to level B2 of CEFR level.
