High-skilled foreign university graduates will be permitted to work and reside in the UK for two to three years, depending on their degree level, under the new UK visa for talented graduates. Visa holders can apply for jobs in any industry after arriving in the UK.
Faced with a shrinking talent pool following Brexit, the United Kingdom has devised a new visa programme to attract graduates from the world’s finest colleges.
The new UK visa for talented graduates – The high Potential Individual (HPI) visa will be available to applicants starting May 30.
Employers in the UK will benefit from this new UK visa for talented graduates since they will be able to hire HPI visa holders without having to pay sponsorship fees.
“The new High Potential Individual route will make it as straightforward as possible for internationally mobile individuals who demonstrate high potential to come to the UK,” Minister for Safe and Legal Migration Kevin Foster said in a statement. It will allow people who have already proved their academic aptitude to come to the UK without having received a job offer.”
